ARTIST BIO
Julia Guo is a photographer working toward a BFA in Photography Image Arts at Toronto Metropolitan University. Her work is focused on exploring and becoming immersed into both urban and natural environments, with an emphasis on documenting physical space and human presence.
Julia has also taken a recent liking to printmaking, particularly the cyanotype process. In the 21st century—an unbearably digital world—she is deeply intrigued by the joy of making and owning a tangible, tactile print.
Outside of taking photos, Julia loves playing the piano, birding, and visiting record stores.
Julia’s work has been exhibited in solo shows at Toronto Metropolitan University's School of Image Arts and at the public art show Maximum Exposure for three consecutive years. CV available below.
